Mobile shipbuilding facility to teach 700 workers annually

(MOBILE, Ala.) -- Alabama's governor attended a ceremony formally announcing a $9.4 million maritime workforce training center in Mobile, the television station WALA reported. The taxpayer-funded Maritime Science Center will train 700 a year in shipbuilding trades. It is scheduled to open next year. Click here to view the TV station's story.
