Extended Barf-O-Meter Forecast

Spent some spare time today looking at scheduling and routes, particularly the out and back routes that HSF does/would use. I also looked at the distances of fast ferry transits in the Canary Islands, because John Lehman recently commented on that in the on-board magazine, and also looked at the distances involved in Trinidad and Tobago because it is where the Lynx was redeployed and where fast ferries have been successful. I came up with some good rebuttals, but even better I came up with some new original problem-solving proposals. I have been advised to sit on those solutions for a while.

Instead, for now I see that there has been a lot of news today about "barfing." There were good Maui News and Honolulu Star Bulletin articles of which Larry Geller covered well:

So, I thought I would do a quick B-O-M extended forecast for any passenger vessels on these routes based on NOAA data:
